As our guest, I would like to welcome you to The DeLand Stockyard. As you enjoy our excellent cuisine and interior enhanced with the rich history of Volusia and North Central Florida. I would like to share some of the history of our building which dates back to the 1920's, 1921, to be exact, when Casper Howarth built the original building. Initially the building served as a lodge where guests were housed upstairs and downstairs. A formal dining room was added later. Old New York Avenue was then a bustling main thoroughfare used by merchants to transport goods to the docks on the nearby St. Johns River. Many tourists and visitors who arrived by train stayed at the lodge because it was located near the depot. The lodge soon became a well-known landmark. Many a "horseless carriage" chugged by at speeds as high as 30 miles an hour! Visitors to the lodge could park their tin lizzies out front or tie up their horses out back.

Miranda was our waitress she was absolutely phenomenal she knew the menu like the back of her hand and was very attentive to everything. I had filet mignon with cream spinach and twice baked potato was wonderful the steak was cooked to perfection and they have a homemade butter you can purchase to put on top of your steak if you like because they don’t season their steaks it’s with butter Worcestershire sauce & herbs. That will be our new steak restaurant to go to. Everyone should try it in DeLand a simple nice drive from Port Orange.

A 5-star meal in Deland!!! So happy we found this place and definitely coming back. Crab cakes, ribeye with mashed and asparagus, carrot cake, and fried cheesecake that would stand up all night long to the dinners I’ve had at multiple locations of Del Frisco, Ruth’s Chris, Chart House, and Sparks NY! Perfect temp and perfectly seasoned, and I’m not sure I’ve had a better carrot cake anywhere else. Can’t wait to go back!
Fine dining and great entertainment. ... View More
